Bureau for Private Post Secondary Education, California
Exempt-verified by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)
Western State University (WSU) has met the qualifications for exemption from regulation under the Act, under the California Education Code (CEC) section 94874 (b)(1). WSU is sponsored by NAPC , a non-profit professional organization for entrepreneurs and educators.
The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) has completed the review of WSU’s Application for Verification of Exempt Status pursuant to the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (Act) based on the application received on March 20,2023.The application demonstrates that Western State University Inc has met the qualifications for exemption from regulation under the Act. pursuant to California Education Code (CEC) section 94874(b)(1): “An institution offering educational programs sponsored by a bona fide trade, business, professional, or fraternal organization, solely for that organizations membership”.
Pursuant to CEC §94874.7, this verification of exemption shall remain valid until April 26, 2025, as long as the institution maintains full compliance with the requirements of this exemption.
